Donor-Advised Fund
Receive an instant tax-deduction and enjoy tax-free growth on your invested funds while broadening your ministry impact.
So what exactly is a DAF?
A donor-advised fund is essentially an investment account for supporting charitable organizations like Trillium Women’s Center. Here’s how it works:
- You establish your fund with a DAF provider and make an initial gift of cash, securities or other assets.
- You receive an instant tax-deduction.
- Your funds can then be invested for tax-free growth that broadens your impact.
- You advise grants to be given whenever you like to Trillium Women’s Center or other charities you care about.
A DAF gives you the opportunity to maximize the timing of your tax-deductions by contributing to your DAF when it best suits your financial needs — while still helping worthy organizations like Trillium Women’s Center.
Here’s a partial list of DAF providers:
- National Christian Foundation
- Rowe Price Charitable
- Fidelity Charitable
- Schwab Charitable
- Vanguard Charitable
To get started, please email us with the details of your grant and we will assist however we can.
IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions
Contribute from your IRA to make an even bigger impact in saving babies from abortion, and rescuing women from life-long regret and heartache.
Is an IRA charitable distribution right for me?
If you are 70½ or older, making a qualified charitable contribution (QCD) from your IRA to Trillium Women’s Center can be a meaningful way to make an even bigger impact in your commitment to saving the lives of the unborn.
And if you are age 72 or older, the government mandates you to take required minimum distributions (RMDs) from your IRA — leading to taxable income for many. A QCD can count toward your RMD requirement while also benefiting an organization like Trillium Women’s Center. However, to count toward your RMD, your IRA charitable contribution must be made before your RMD limit is met.
Here’s how it works:
You transfer your gift — up to $100,000 annually — from your IRA directly to Trillium Women’s Center and/or other charities you care about.
Because IRA charitable distributions don’t increase taxable income, higher tax rates can be avoided.
An IRA charitable distribution can potentially enable you to give a bigger gift than if you donated cash or other assets, maximizing generosity and impact.

Appreciated Assets
Give assets like stock, mutual funds, real estate, or alternative investments to receive a tax-deduction and avoid capital gains tax.
What are appreciated assets?
God has blessed many in our community with appreciated assets. These are non-cash assets such as stocks, mutual funds, real estate and alternative investments like art, collectibles or cryptocurrency.
Gifting appreciated assets to a charitable organization like Trillium Women’s Center is a wonderful way to increase your ministry impact while minimizing your tax burden:
- You receive a charitable tax-deduction for the fair market value of your asset.
- You avoid capital gains tax on the appreciated portion of your gift.
- You may find, as others have, that you’re able to give more generously than when giving cash.
In the past few years, asset values have appreciated for many, leaving the potential for a significant tax liability when selling.
